If you have been injured in the course of your employment, you may be entitled to physiotherapy treatment funded entirely through WorkCover WA — at no out-of-pocket cost to you.

Move Physiotherapy is a registered WorkCover WA provider across all three of our Perth clinics. Our team handles the paperwork, insurer liaison, and clinical reporting throughout your recovery — so your only job is to get better.

How It Works

Your WorkCover journey

Report Your Injury
Report your workplace injury to your employer as soon as possible. Your employer notifies their insurer, who issues a claim number. Your GP can also assist with the reporting process.

Get Your Claim Number
You will receive a claim number from your employer or their insurer (or from WorkCover WA directly). You need this before your first appointment.

Book With Us
Call or book online and let us know you are coming under WorkCover. We will prepare the right paperwork and confirm your claim details before your first visit.

Treatment at No Cost
Once your claim is active, all physiotherapy treatment is billed directly to your insurer. We manage all clinical reporting requirements throughout your recovery.

WorkCover physiotherapy FAQs

Do I pay anything upfront for WorkCover physiotherapy?
Once your claim is accepted and active, there is no out-of-pocket cost for physiotherapy treatment. We bill your insurer directly. You simply need a valid claim number before your first appointment.
Can I choose my own physiotherapist under WorkCover?
Yes — under WorkCover WA you are entitled to choose your own registered physiotherapy provider. Move Physiotherapy is a registered WorkCover WA provider at all three locations.
How do I get a WorkCover claim number?
Report your injury to your employer as soon as possible. Your employer notifies their insurer, who issues a claim number. If your employer is unresponsive, you can also lodge a claim directly with WorkCover WA or through your GP.
What if my claim has not been approved yet?
Contact us before booking. In some circumstances we can see you on a private basis initially and transition to your WorkCover claim once it is approved. We can also provide documentation to support your claim.
Do I need a GP referral for WorkCover physiotherapy?
No — a GP referral is not required to access physiotherapy under WorkCover WA. You simply need your claim number and the details of your workplace injury.
How many WorkCover physiotherapy sessions can I have?
WorkCover WA does not set a fixed session limit. Treatment is funded for as long as it is clinically justified and approved by your insurer. Your physiotherapist will provide regular reports to the insurer demonstrating your progress.
Can Move Physiotherapy help with return-to-work planning?
Yes — return-to-work rehabilitation is one of our core WorkCover services. We work closely with your employer, insurer, and GP to develop a structured, goal-based plan that gets you back to work safely.
