Background
About Amir
Amir Baraei brings a wealth of experience to Move Physiotherapy. He joined the team in 2019 at the Booragoon clinic and became Director of Move Physiotherapy Beeliar in 2024 — a clinic he helped build from the ground up alongside Daniel Ryan.
Amir has perfected both his manual therapy skills — including remedial massage and dry needling — and his exercise rehabilitation expertise. This means he can apply hands-on therapy to reduce pain and prescribe appropriate exercise to rehabilitate injury, offering a genuinely comprehensive service.
He has held roles with the Perth Glory Soccer team, Western Force Rugby team, and has treated a number of professional athletes in both the NRL and AFL. With passion and dedication, Amir has built a strong community reputation for improving physical strength beyond what people believe possible.
Amir has a particular interest in lower back and knee injuries, post-operative rehabilitation following knee and hip replacements, and especially persistent pain that has not responded to previous treatment. As one of the most experienced therapists on the team, he has a track record of achieving results for people who had been told, or had come to believe, that nothing more could be done.
Amir also brings a personal background in elite sport, having competed in Water Polo at the international level and served in a leadership role with the Iranian Water Polo squad. His appointments are limited and must be booked in advance.
