Physiotherapist – Booragoon
Shannon joined the Move physiotherapy team having completed degrees in Sports Science at the University of Western Australia, and Physiotherapy at the University of Notre Dame.
Shannon has had extensive experience as a personal trainer in the health & fitness industry, including work on remote mine sites. She therefore has a unique insight into the physical demands of both sedentary and heavy manual work, and how to work around this with fitness training and rehabilitation.
With a lifelong interest in movement and health, Shannon is passionate about surfing, swimming and running and is therefore well acquainted with the injuries commonly experienced in endurance sports. This has also sparked her strong interest in strength training for injury prevention and management, and a belief in the importance of a proactive approach to treatment.
In addition, Shannon has a passion for watching and participating in all sports, with experience working with the West Coast Eagles AFL and WAFL teams, as well as ice hockey amateur leagues.
In her spare time, Shannon is training or competing for her surf club, attempting to revive her herb garden or enjoying a strong coffee with friends.
