Luke Munizza
Physiotherapist – Booragoon
Luke is an American who moved over to Australia in 2019 for the physiotherapy program at Bond University. He has always had a passion for sports played soccer and football during his four years of high school. This is where he developed a keen interest in working in a sporting environment.
He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Oregon State University in 2017. There he had the opportunity to intern with the University’s strength and conditioning department and was exposed to the process of developing athletic performance at a high level. Although Luke mainly worked with the baseball team, he has an interest in programming for athletic development across all sports.
Since coming to Australia, Luke has gained experience working as a sports trainer and student physiotherapist with some of the more traditional Australian sports such as AFL, Rugby Union, and Soccer.
Luke has had a wide range of placement experiences over the last 2 years, and is excited to help people of all ages return to their desired activities. He believes that everyone should be doing the activities they love, and wants to deliver an active approach to rehabilitation through which the patient is given all of the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed in their program.
