Physiotherapist – Booragoon
A curiosity for the way the body works and a genuine interest in improving quality of life inspired Ilana to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Ilana practices holistic and patient-centred care, and approaches all conditions with a strong problem solving mindset.
Completing an honours research project specialising in knee perception, Ilana has a keen interest in biomechanics and the psychological influence injuries can have on recovery. Prior to working at Move Physiotherapy, Ilana was the head trainer at the Wanneroo Districts Netball Association and previously worked at the Curtin University Football Club. Ilana continues to work as the head physiotherapist for the Canning City Football Club.
Ilana’s love of sport has given her an insight to a fair share of injuries. Ilana sustained a broken ankle and completed intensive rehabilitation to return to the Western Australian Basketball League. Her drive to deliver the best rehabilitation and recovery outcomes are rooted in a genuine care for her patients.
When she’s not at work, Ilana spends her weekends mountain biking or fishing. She can also be found supporting the Fremantle Dockers at Optus Stadium!
